grew up outside of Kansas City on a small family farm
After graduating from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 1976 with a B.S. in Agricultural Economics and a minor in Marketing, he spent the next 15 years honing his sales and sales management skills. During the latter part of this period, he was chosen to co-lead several organizational change programs that led to his passion for employee development where he spent his next 15+ years.
Grant also fulfilled the role of an internal consultant to many of his company’s major distributors and golf course management companies applying his knowledge and skills to their businesses where he routinely taught over 1000 customers annually from small sales teams to large national meetings.
A key milestone in his career was the development of a global Marketing and Sales Excellence program in the late 90’s. This program was designed for commercial professionals and Grant led sessions throughout the U.S., South America, Europe and the Asia Pacific areas of the world.
After over 30 years with Syngenta Crop Protection, Grant retired in 2012 and in addition to his own consulting and training business, he consulted for Adayana/ABG out of Indianapolis IN. Today, that business is now known as Beck Ag where he continues to serve Beck clients.
